King Reexamine Interior Design

At the meeting of the Baton Rouge Press Club of Monday, March 26, 2018, LSU President F. King Alexander stressed that, if graudates of LSU’s Interior Design program are not getting jobs in interior design, “We need to re-examine what we’re doing.” Alexander gave his response to a question from Sound Off Louisiana’s Robert Burns entailing Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards supporting HB-623 of the 2018 Louisiana Legislature to ( which would abolish the requirement for licensure to practice interior design in Louisiana (47 other states already don’t require a license, with the exceptions being Louisiana, Florida, and Nevada, with Louisiana’s licening requirement being BY FAR the most restrictive.
