Plastic drop cloth
Tape measure
Level
Nickels
Sandpaper
6in wide ply wood planks
6 in. 3/4 nap roller
1 1/4 angled 15 gauge nail gun nails
Nail gun + air compressor (rent)
Spackling paste + knife
Angled paint brush
Behr Color Smart app
Premium Plus Ultra Behr paint (we used the Unwind color)

    you could stain it but i love white and grays in sleeping areas. Im thinking about a light gray for my next place with more earthy colors in the pillows

    I really like the wall and the whole room look (similar to what we have in our daughters room). I watch heaps/all of your clips … so … Just wondered how your mum (mom) coped with the lack of symmetry of lamps and pictures either side of bed 🙂 LOL!

    really level it? what if your ceiling is not perfect…still level the plywood strip? LOL…..just nail it there and adjust at the bottom

    Thing is if you left it the bare wood ,, the spaces between the planks would not be as high lighted which is what gives the wall that  look ! God I grew up in a time when if you could see the planks in the walls you were living in a shack

    Good idea is to paint the slats first then just do a touch up after hanging it
