Interior Design: Girly-Chic Basement Makeover

See designer Vanessa Francis‘s spectacular basement renovation. Find out how she transformed the previously messy, unfinished space into a stylish entertaining hub where her teenage daughter hangs out with friends. Great idea you know where your kids and their friends are. Important. More parents should convert the basement for them instead of moaning at them when they go out and get into trouble.

What a comfi, fresh space!! I love the homeowners design logic-its both design savvy and practical. The use of pink and black is done so in a way that isnt overbearing – but is completely respectful of the space.

Most inspiring basement I’ve seen in awhile… I love the openness yet, the division of space.. great job in designing!

Ew…there's only a few things worst than hearing mouth/saliva noises (clicks, pops, etc). Also, having two feature walls kinda defeats the purpose.

Finishing the basement is a huge bonus of space. The stair liner is such a great tip.

All new buildings and remodels need to be energy efficient and come with solar panes and battery storage.
Some discussion of insulation and air sealing an older home would be helpful.
All garages need to come with 220 volt outlets for charging electric vehicles.
In a few years electric vehicles will be the standard. Fossil fuels are the past.
