Yes to investing on a good sofa but no on fresh flowers. It's not budget friendly.

Forget about the marble adhesive. Look up extra-large format porcelain tiles. Thank me later.

Do you have a design service? I remember your mom helping a lucky few redesign their spaces.

My boyfriend and I are lucky to have a huge living/dining area with 12 feet wide by 9 feet tall balcony glass windows, but he refuses to get curtains. For some reason he thinks curtains are "poor" and we have these ugly beige vertical blinds up that bunch up and go off track all the time. I cannot convince him to even consider curtains.

Hang your tv and let the cords show? Very trailer park. Show possible disguises for the unsightly. That’s what makes a home appear luxurious and custom without high cost installation labor.

do you think couch covers are tacky? i want a bright red couch but it is very hard to find one on my budget, so i was thinking of getting a thrift couch and putting a cover on it. i have to find a very shallow seat to get it in my apartment and i hate puffy couches.
