What is the name of the paint color in your bedroom? It is beautiful.
And could you recommend a deep blue color for my formal dining room. Right now I have a warm chestnut paint, with touches of red & black for my accents, & black sheers window coverings. My floors are handplained white oak(my husband did those)I am just thinking I want a change.
    BTW….Where is your refrigerator?

Love your house. My favorite are the dressers in the dining room. Cut the legs off??? Bahaha! Go girl. I have a sewing room over my garage. I have sloped ceilings. Yay. In a small area, I had a toilet installed. Hmm need a sink. There is a bumpout that my builder did for seating and to give me more room. I really needed a sink. I bought a sewing cabinet, CUT THE LEGS OFF!! If fit perfectly, Secured it to the wall, vessel sink and funky faucet. Perfect. Anyway, I smiled when I saw the dressers, Great idea to tape them under neath.

This lady is ok at decorating! But too negative! Now the before the way the house looked" comments"? Are so negative sounding. She forgets that the decore was a different time and styles were different!! When the last people had the home. Plus maybe people don't have the money to decorate or they might of had other priorities in there life. Traveling ,investing in other things ,illnesses, sending kids to collage, WHATEVER!!! Decorating and spending thousands?!!! Was not there thing!! I think it sounds so rude when these fanatic decorators criticize so much. This decorator is negative. Shush more and be more positive when showing how to decorate.

What's with saying "hacks" instead of "tips?" Is it because we all have to pretend it's computer related and a whole new concept? It's not.

I LOVE the idea you've incorporated into your staircase with the flowing bottom. I have a staircase that goes directly into a wall that I now want to do this to at the bottom (much to my husband's dismay). Can you give me an idea what this is called so I can look up techniques, etc.? I've tried swooping staircase and nada. We've done a huge remodel in this home and have had some trouble getting carpenters that are "good" and so if we can do it ourselves, I'd prefer that since I know it'd get done. If I knew how, I'd attach a picture of our staircase. https://photos.smugmug.com/Pourhouse-/n-xHS7zP/i-dD3ZJFS/0/9ee71498/XL/i-dD3ZJFS-XL.jpg
